Kurt implements management and sales systems designed to drive sales revenue by improving sales people’s focus and expertise, while increasing their sales activity and accountability. Kurt is always looking for systems to improve his client’s performance. As VP and Senior Consultant for the past eleven years, he has developed several tools that have become a significant part of The Center for Sales Strategy's client resources.
Kurt enjoys solving business problems, improving sales and building business models designed to achieve growth strategies. As a fundamental futurist Kurt combines genius thinking from the likes of Einstein, Pareto, Goldratt and Drucker with proven systems and innovation to help his customers.
Kurt's entrée into sales began at Bowling Green State University where he was "The Voice of Reggae Music", and an Account Manager for the college radio stations WBGU-FM and WFAL-AM. His passion for music and desire to build campaigns for his customers led to his first real job as Account Manager at Gannett Radio Stations in Cleveland.
A twenty-year career in sales and sales management in Cleveland, Boston, and Columbus led Kurt to the role of Director of Sales at RadiOhio and The Ohio State Radio Network. Under his leadership, sales volume and market share grew consistently. Kurt attributes much of his success to the ability to hire and develop talented people and create a sales culture focused on client results. This success led him to his role for the past eleven years at The Center for Sales Strategy.
Kurt is currently launching two important projects for The Center for Sales Strategy:
· The Partner Program designed to provide training resources to other B2B sales consultants and trainers. Check out The Partner blog at http://blog.thecenterforsalesstrategy.com/partners
· Consulting nonprofits: A program designed to help nonprofit organizations improve revenue performance. Recently the American Heart Association Mid-Atlantic office and The Children’s Miracle Network signed on as clients.
Kurt is married to Brenda Lauer, also a former radio sales superstar, before she retired to focus on their two
children Emma and Clark and keep Kurt's life in order. He is a creative, fearless cook who makes meals from scratch and is the official weekend chef in the Sima household.
